Lisa Brock – Founder/CEO
I’m the founder of Planet Hope Christian Enterprising, and I’m so glad you’re here. My passion is helping others to achieve their dreams. My background is in Management, with a little bit of Kinesiology thrown in. I love building teams and developing ideas into practical solutions that can change the world. I’m a mom, a terrible but aspiring gardener, and above all, a beloved daughter of Jesus Christ. I look forward to working with you on your next project!

Angel Nieva – Executive Assistant
Hello! My name is Angel Nieva and I am the Client Services Clerk at Planet Hope Christian Enterprising for the summer. One of my greatest passions is helping others by listening to them and being empathetic and understanding. I also love to sing, write music, practice martial arts, read books, and write stories.
I am a student at the University of Calgary and my main field of study is Sociology with a minor in Philosophy. I have background experience working with lots of non-profit organizations, mostly as a volunteer, like Children’s Wish Foundation and Lion’s Eyeglasses. I am also a close member of my church and I regularly volunteer my services to them by organizing events, church lessons, song selection, and anything involving PowerPoint (we all know how important those slides are haha). Jackson J. Liang – Executive Assistant
Hi my name is Jackson, I am completing my 4th Year Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting Degree at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Polytechnic. With future goals of obtaining his CPA Designation.
As a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting student, I have been part of SAIT’s Accounting Society VP of Administration. Which has assisted in organizing events, coordinating with accounting professors to promote the club, promoting transparency and the integrity of the club, and lastly compiling reports to student relations at SAITSA.
Outside of extracurricular activities, I have 3 years of experience with payroll, budgeted analysis, and forecasting. With the knowledge of ‘Quickbooks’, I have the skill set to create accurate and timely payroll processes, procuring orders, and reporting and data analysis.
As for my contributions to Planet Hope Christian Enterprising, I hope to make an impact with my role as an Assistant Executive Director. I hope to create new prospective ideas to help Planet Hope Christian Enterprising succeed as a whole. As well as, obtaining new experiences at Planet Hope Christian Enterprising and the great team behind it as well.
Lastly, outside of those activities, I like to play video games, I’m an avid hockey fanatic (Big Colorado Avalanche fan), and I enjoy working out.

Emmy McKirgan – Writing Specialist
I am so excited to write for Planet Hope again! Previously as a volunteer, I learned so many valuable skills—however, the takeaway from my time: working with the best group of people. A group of people who encourage, help and keep each other accountable.
I am a happily married mother of 3 “adult” children. To me, they are still kids! I enjoy writing and reading. I love to be out in nature and see God’s unique creation! It often takes my breath away to realize we are a part of it.
It’s not all unicorns and rainbows. I want to write about the struggles also. I struggle with mental health issues and physical pain exacerbated by a car accident -this has become my new normal.
I am still struggling with the challenges daily, grieving the person I was or the things I could do. I want to be honest in what I write. I feel like I have had many traumas in life and joys that I can share with others! Just remember: you are not alone! Regardless if you are in the darkest valley or on the highest mountaintop! That’s the lie that we often believe when we struggle!
Harmanpreet Kaur – Human Resources Assistance Specialist
Hi Everyone! My Name is Harman and I’ll be working as a Human Resources Assistance Specialist for Planet Hope. I have a background in HR and as I am a PDHRM graduate from CNC. I also served as a CPHR BC & Yukon Ambassador during the term of my post diploma. Currently, I am working to gain my CPHR designation as I am a CPHR member.
I work full-time as a Recruiter with one of the recruiting agencies named TPD. I have been actively involved with volunteering roles and I am pretty excited to join Planet Hope. Additionally, I also volunteer for Canadian Red Cross where I am a member of Provincial Welcome Committee along with being an ERT and PDAT responder.
I love going out for long walks in my past time and listening to music. My other hobbies include coloring, reading books and binge watching.
I am really excited to work with you all as we all can share and exchange our knowledge to make to make Planet Hope a better place for everyone. I am really looking forward to gain experience and knowledge while using my expertise in the field!
Cindy Winegarden – Executive Volunteer (Communications)
Hi. My background is in Communications and PR. I have “retired” from fulltime work in the business world and now want to put my skills and gifts to work to help others. I have worked for both Christian and secular not-for-profit organizations, as well as in the for profit business world. I have also volunteered in my church over the years in youth ministry, children’s ministry and on the church board.

Valbona has over 15 years of experience as a Human Resources professional working in Europe and Canada. Among others, her experience includes recruitment and selection, talent and performance management, retention, strategic planning, and intercultural team building. Some of the main hobbies include traveling, reading and spending time with family.
Leticia Carfesan – Social Media Volunteer
My primary specialties are social media management, email/marketing automation, customer relationship management, and marketing analytics metrics.
Besides holding a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management with an extensive focus on Marketing, I have relevant courses and certifications in social media management, marketing research, and inclusive communication.
