Jennifer Copeland – Writing Intern
Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I’m an intern for Planet Hope Christian Enterprising. You’ll be hearing from me on the blog in the upcoming weeks, so I thought I’d introduce myself.
When I was young, I spent so much time with my nose buried in a book or scribbling in a notebook that it was inevitable I would want to be a writer. My regular jobs have been varied, but I’ve always found time to write and study the craft of writing. I’ve completed quite a few courses over the years, including those with the Christian Writers Guild. Back in 2011, my dreams came true when my first short story was published in a magazine. I never looked back and am now the author of many short stories in a variety of magazines.
I’m so pleased to be able to lend my skills to Planet Hope Christian Enterprising. An opportunity to write with a Christian perspective doesn’t come along every day. An organization like this doesn’t come along every day. I’m excited to be a part of it.
I love to connect with others, so please catch up with me on the blog and leave a comment!

Emmy McKirgan – Writing Intern
Hello everyone my name is Emmy McKirgan. I have always enjoyed writing, I have journaled through many times in my life : during the highs and lows, the easy and the hard, the questions and answers. I find it much easier to “speak” with written words rather than trying to explain myself verbally.
I am a new member of WordPress and of PHCE. I am looking forward to learning the craft of writing for the purpose of sharing my authentic self with others. Applying for this internship was a leap of faith as I have never formally been trained to write. I don’t have the same eloquence of writing as some do. But what I do have is a desire to learn and to help others with the stories of my hard times, of overcoming obstacles and fears because of my faith and belief in God, even while questioning the circumstances of life.
I hope you will check out more of my stories as I branch out and walk out this dream in my heart. May something I say resonate with you and help you in some way. I want to share with you about my recovery after a car accident,my struggles with anxiety and depression along with my passion and heart for helping those who have suffered, those enduring homelessness or other frailties of this life. And how to bring joy and hope into each story, including my own.
Lana Obeid – Writing intern
Hi, my name is Lana and I am a Writing Intern here at Planet Hope Christian Enterprising.
Sometimes I write large-extravagant-tall-with-a-long-evening-dress-purple-lipstick-heels-and
winged-eyeliner, type writing. Sometimes, it’s a-short-sleeve-with-marked-up-sneakers type of writing. Other times, it’s just a-polka-dotted-splashed-with-tie-dye-and-messy-hair-to-match writing. And most days, it’s all the above. It’s safe to say that I love being creative in my writings and if you can’t, tell poetry is my canvas. To get technical, I have a background in both Creative Writing and Professional Writing Specialized in Institutional Writing, which is just another fancy way of saying Business Writing. I also love Jesus and I love Writing about Him. I look forward to working with you!
Feel free to check out my various writings below.
Karen Arnold – Writing
Hi! I feel blessed to be here. Having lived most of my life in Ontario, I am glad to be back, after spending the past 14 years in a small rural community in B.C. I much prefer medium sized cities.
I have always had a passion for writing and it all started with journaling and then writing poetry. English was always one of my favorite subjects in school. I loved writing essays. I wrote for a community newspaper for 3 months as an intern, many years ago and wrote about community events. I really enjoyed it. As well, I have volunteered to write newsletters for a of couple non-profit organizations over the years. One was for a housing co-op I lived in and one was for Meals on Wheels. I especially loved interviewing people for a feature article.
I have also dabbled in creative writing and it is a dream of mine to someday publish children’s books for parents to read with their children that highlight the uniqueness of children who are differently abled.
I am looking forward to working with others to tell a story where the words come alive, so that I may be part of assisting organizations and people with their quest to make a better world…one person at a time.
