When you serve someone, why do you do it? Do you want accolades for a job well done? Do you want your name on social media thanking you for your hard work? If we are honest, a part of us wants recognition and appreciation from others, especially when we feel we are giving our all.

But …Gods’ word says when we do something considerate for someone – we should be doing it for the Lord. In other words, we don’t need the accolades or the special thanks – just having done it for the Lord should be enough!

What are your thoughts? Why do you serve? Who do you serve -those who can bless you back, or do you help those who can’t?
Our motives must be pure -reasons for helping others are just as important as helping them.
