What is your gift or talent?

What are you good at? Maybe you don’t think it’s a gift – but if someone else can’t do it – it is!
Are you able to sing like a lark, or write like a poet, or perhaps you can clean like no one’s business? Maybe you are the hostess with the “mostess”! You can make a mean lasagna. Or you know exactly what to say to someone when they are having a bad day – that changes their day around.

Then you have a gift!

God asks us to use that gift, whatever it may be, to serve others.
You are not to be selfish in your giving. You are to “serve” others with the gifts you have.
How unfair of you to think that your gift is not worth sharing! We are to live as a “community” – you never know how your small act or gesture can change someone’s’ life.
Perhaps the person was suicidal and thought no one would miss them, but your random text telling them how much they mean to you could save their life.
Maybe the person at the checkout is stressed and having a hard day – your smile and a thoughtful conversation make them feel like they matter.
It’s often the small things we do or say that can serve others to have the best day!
