Have you ever heard of this holiday? It’s my first time! But it sounds like one that would make positive changes in your sphere of influence or the least to the person you tell the compliment.
Well, it could be as simple as you have the most amazing smile, you are the kindest person I know, or the world would be a better place if everyone had a big heart like you!
The truth is anything can be said as a compliment – the parameters – make it positive and sincere. What is it that you admire about someone? What makes them stand out above the crowd? Do you have employees? Tell them something specific that they bring to the team. If you are a parent, tell your kids how much they mean to you, and you appreciate it when they____ fill in the blank with their unique gift.
The World Compliment Day website says: “If on March 1st every person pays at least three people in his/her environment or (social) network a genuine and sincere compliment, we will definitely create the Most Positive Day in the World!”
But, it doesn’t have to end there. Do you have errands to run? Make sure you tell the person bagging your groceries thank you and that you appreciate their hard work. Anyone is fair game on this day! Challenge yourself – how many compliments can you give out? The more, the better!
