Do you know what you are on earth to do? Some days I feel like I know, and other days I feel lost. I’ve heard helpful advice to keep trying new things till you find the one that sticks.

Is there something you’ve wanted to try – go for it! Maybe it’s learning a new skill or seeing if you can accomplish a goal. Don’t give up. And while you are trying the new thing – don’t compare yourself to others. It’s instant deflation when you do! At least it is for me. I then spiral and think of how much of a failure I am. We each have specific talents – although I think we are often our own worst critics!

Instead, think: I can do whatever I try, and at the least, you will know what you don’t like. We can’t blame others for our lack of trying – the onus is on us.

So go and try something new! Make it simple and work up to the bigger things! Just know I, too, am trying something new and feeling terrified. But I’m doing it – I may fall flat on my face, or maybe I’ll find my calling after all. However, I won’t have regrets about not attempting it.

Happy trying new things!
