Self-care is important! Take time for yourself. Take time to do the things you love, that bring you joy and add value to your life.
When was the last time you took time to go for a walk, take a bath or just spend some quiet time meditating or reading a novel?
Often as entrepreneurs, we are so busy wearing so many hats, that we forget the most important part: taking care of ourselves.
Sometimes this means creating boundaries, such as your working hours, turning off notifications for slack or other messages you may receive, putting your family or your needs first.
The story of a parent on a plane that is going to crash is so relevant here. We first need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves.
As a mom, I thought that it was selfish to “put the mask” on myself first After much debating and battle, I realized I am not at my optimum if I can’t “breathe”. I can’t help anyone else. I need to be filled up and energized to be of any use to others.
Examine your days and find some time for you! To take care of yourself, to do something fun and not to feel guilty about it!
