The bible tells us that God knows our struggles. As a caring Father, he comes to our aid; so that we don’t feel like we have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. Scripture instructs us not to be worried about anything!

This is hard to do! I understand the struggle. But unloading some of our burdens to God in prayer is therapeutic. We can’t change things by worrying about them. So let’s heed the instruction and give it to God.

When we “give it to God” let us thank him for all we do have! No matter how hard things are: we can all be thankful for something! Perhaps it’s for hot showers and a warm bed, a roof over your head and food for your family.

To go one step further: let’s be kind to those who suffer. This season can be fraught with difficulty for many people for various reasons and exacerbated because of COVID. Regardless, it can be a stressful and painful time of the year for many. Let’s lift them in prayer. Some people don’t have the will or desire to pray: you can intercede for them and be a catalyst for change!
