2 Corinthians 9:6-8
6 But remember this—if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much. 7 Everyone must make up his own mind as to how much he should give. Don’t force anyone to give more than he really wants to, for cheerful givers are the ones God prizes. 8 God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more so that there will not only be enough for your own needs but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.
Giving Tuesday is coming up! Be like the farmer who plants lots of seeds so that he can reap an abundant crop. Look around you to see where you could give. Be intentional in your giving. Don’t leave it to chance. Think of ways you can bless others. Perhaps it’s volunteering at a soup kitchen, working with the youth at your school or any number of great ideas! God loves a cheerful giver! Don’t be sour or feel compelled to give. Don’t say I have to do this or that, and dread what you will be giving up: your time, finances, or comfort. Rather give willingly and with open hands. God will more than fill up your open hands. He will overfill your cup! He is the best example of giving: He gave his Son for us! He gave the greatest gift of all!
