“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

I love this scripture! Often I worry if I am doing what God has called me to. Is this my purpose in life? Over 20 years ago, a very spiritual and mature man gave this scripture to get me through a tough time. I have come back to it time and again. Its not up to me to figure it all out. I need to trust Jesus with everything. This is especially difficult when I don’t see my mountains being moved. This says that it is not up to me to get it done. That God is in control, yes I need to be obedient with what He asks me to do, but I don’t need to make it happen by my own self will. I don’t need to over complicate it (which I tend to do). He is in control. He knows what He’s doing, even when I don’t. And it’s His job and not mine to use me for the Purpose I was created for before the foundations of the world. It’s very freeing and so much less stressful than constantly trying to make things happen! I hope this scripture will relieve some of the stress you have of trying to figure it all out on your own! Lean into Him who will work in you to complete the good work! God Bless!
